Swimming

Atlanta Rainbow Trout Swim Team offers swimmers of all levels an exceptional environment in which to train. Whether a swimmer’s goal is to get into better shape or to compete in a Masters-level swim meet there is a place for everyone on our team. Our only requirement for new swimmers is that they be able to swim freestyle.

Each of our practice workouts is supervised by one of our coaches who strive to provide creative and diverse workouts to make practice fun and challenging.

Workouts are tiered by lane for different levels of ability, from beginner to expert swimmer. Our coaches consult with each swimmer to determine appropriate ability-level and lane placement and to provide ongoing coaching for individual development.

Our coaches are trained to ensure that you are placed with the group that best matches your ability level.

Whether you work out only on weekends or want to party on Friday, we have pool times to fit the life of any busy professional over the age of eighteen. Few members have the time to attend each and every practice, but it’s great to have additional nights available when you just want to blow off some steam.

We are fortunate to have access to one of the world’s premier aquatic facilities. We train at the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center, built for the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games. The aquatic center is enclosed for year round use and consists of a competition pool with stadium seating, a state-of-the-art diving well, spa, a leisure pool with a waterslide and current channel, as well as an outdoor patio.

See the Calendar for a list of upcoming practices.
