Diving

The Atlanta Rainbow Trout Masters Diving Team wishes to accommodate divers of all experience levels. It does not matter if you begin with us as a beginning diver or you are a well experienced diver training for a world championship event. You may want to be one of our coaches or instructors? Our goal is to have a place for you at your own comfort level.

We currently provide one open supervised practice time, each Sunday (you should call the ART Diving Director in advance of each Sunday you will attend practice, Russell- 404-872-2213). You must have purchased a USA Diving "Masters Athelete Membership" (currently $75.00 per year, includes diving insurance and is good for 14 months if bought new in November) and have paid the $20.00 per quarter ART Diving membership inorder to attend these practices.

Depending on instructor availability and number of divers interested, we plan to offer diving classes beginning diving through advanced diving, three times per year, including an instructor or coach. We also hope to have a USA Diving instructor course to offer once per year. The cost of taking any classes are supplimental to the $20.00 per quarter you pay to be a member of the diving team and the required $75.00 membership you buy from USA Diving. Fees required to be in any classes are in addition must be reserved for and paid for in advance and are non-refundable or transferable if you can't take the class you signed up for. These classes may meet one or two times per week, depending on instructor availability. Please contact the ART Diving Director (Russell 404-872-2213) for current class times and any other diving information. Proof of USA Diving registration must be shown before being allowed to dive with any of the Atlanta Rainbow Trout Diving practices, classes or involvements.

Our dive meets are mixed, some are local, some are international. You may enter in all, some or none, your discreation.

If you have experience as a diving coach or instructor there are several positions always available. Please contact us for more information.

We are fortunate to have access to one of the world's premier aquatic facilities. We train at the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center, built for the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games. The aquatic center is now enclosed for year round use and consists of a competition pool with stadium seating, a state-of-the-art diving well, spa, a leisure pool with a waterslide and current channel, as well as an outdoor patio.

The Trout welcomes all swimmers, water polo players, divers, and triathletes regardless of age (18+), gender, race, sexual orientation or ability. Come see what makes being a Trout so special! If you have more questions about joining the Trout, please check out our Frequently Asked Questions page or just send us an email with your question.
