Kevin Brady
President
Kevin Brady has been with the ART almost since its inception - right after the 1996 Olympics. For Kevin, swimming is his therapy and tries to consistently make the practices. He is currently the team’s president. He is retired from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) after many years as a senior manager.
Chris Ashley
Vice President
Chris Ashley has been a member of the team since 2019 and is currently serving as water polo Director/Coach. He has competed as a water polo player since 2003, starting off in Baltimore and continuing on to play club polo at James Madison University. Chris can usually be found rushing out of his day job at the Georgia Aquarium as part of the Dolphin Coast training team to attend our practices at the CRC. He supplements his time in the pool with workouts at Orange Theory and hopes to compete in a half Ironman in the next couple of years! Chris also LOVES walking/running trails along the Chattahoochee River or sometimes even drifting along the river on a tube with friends.

Bruce Cox
Treasurer
Bruce Cox has been a member of the Trout since 2003 and has been serving as Treasurer since 2019. Bruce is originally from Indiana, and moved to ATL after college. He's a retired Technology Manager who now dedicates a lot of his free time to supporting our team. Bruce is a self-professed techie nerd and science fiction fanatic. He says a perfect day is tinkering around the house on a nerd project, swimming with the Trout, and then watching a good SciFi show on TV. Bruce swims with the B1 group.
Adam McKenzie
Swim Director
Adam is a product development engineer for Newell Brands. He specifically works for the Graco brand on their car seat team. He started with the Trouts in the summer of 2021. He was a collegiate rower at Georgia Tech. After college he began coaching age group swimming and competing in masters swimming again.

David Payne
Social Director
David Payne serves as social events director for the Trout and has been a member for many years. He sees his challenge as providing opportunity for Atlanta Rainbow Trout members to socialize outside the pool and support team engagement. David is a lifelong swimmer and Maryland native who has calls Atlanta home. He works at Emory University in campus planning. David lives for the social kick!
Eric Lindsay
Membership Director
Eric Lindsay is serving as Membership Director with a focus on several areas as means to drive and retain membership; such as: timely processing of membership inquiries / requests, organizing membership - recruitment events and documenting processes to assist future holders of this role. Eric has held executive level roles, primarily in the healthcare information technology field, in such areas as sales operations, marketing operations and partnership management. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science as well as Economics from Emory University and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University. When not at swim practice, he can often be found trying out new restaurants, with his run club, the gym, planning a trip or having a glass of red wine.

Ceci Freed
Image Director
Ceci Freed has been a member of the team since 2022 and is currently serving as Image Director. She is a freelance motion graphics and graphic designer, and holds a B.A. from Johns Hopkins University in Film & Media and is completing an M.F.A. from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Motion Media. During non-working hours, you can catch her hiking with her dog, Rascal, or watching the latest season of the Bachelorette. She swims with the B1 group and her best stroke is freestyle.
Akane Fujimoto
Triathlon Director

James Barnes
Technology Director
James is an Atlanta (suburbs) native and recent addition to the Atlanta Rainbow Trout as of April 2024. During the day, he works as a Principal Software Engineer at a large media company and has volunteered to put those skills to use for the Trout. In his free time, James loves learn new languages and to take his English Mastiff, Bond, and Great Dane, George, to the dog park for a frolic.

Jamel Grooms
Social Media Director
Jamel Grooms is a software engineer in the FinTech industry, and the Social Media Director of the Atlanta Rainbow Trout. As the Social Media Director, he is dedicated to amplifying our message of inclusivity, diversity, and community through social networks.
Jamel has been a member of Trout since 2016. He grew up on a swim team from middle school through college. These days, Jamel primarily play water polo, but will occasionally drop in for a few laps.
